About me

Mashama Barber has always loved fashion. Even at a young age, she would make sure her Bratz dolls were dressed in the trendiest garments. She graduated from Northwestern High School, where she was introduced to subjects such as Merchandising, Marketing, and Advertising. This exposure sparked her interest in a career in Retailing-Fashion Merchandising. So, she currently attends University of South Carolina to pursue the degree.

Mashama also has hands-on experience in the field of fashion. She has been employed at Clothes Mentor for almost two years. At this job, she took on a lot of responsibility because it is a small business. This women’s resale store taught her the essentials of fashion and business. Mashama acquired knowledge in trends, store image/displays, effective social media presence, and many more aspects. All of those essentials (plus what she learned in high school courses and ones she took/is taking in college), help her cultivate the best tips for visual merchandising and store design. So, learn about everything from color scheme to lighting to enhance your store’s image!
