Window displays are discussed a lot on this blog. But, there is more to a store’s outer appearance than that. The human eye takes in every detail when passing by a store; whether it’s noticing dirt spots on the outer walls or seeing a letter on the sign is crooked. Store exterior can make or break the chance of a consumer walking through the doorway. No matter if you’re a visual merchandiser, store displayer, or just simply the owner of the store in discussion, this information will be helpful.
Store exterior helps communicate the store image to those looking from the outside, just like a book cover. There are many components that make up your store’s exterior. One of them is the signage. Signs help set the look and image of a store. Things such as the material used, style of lettering, and the color contribute to this. Marquees also make up your store’s exterior.
In conclusion: marquees can help reel in the one consumer that you need. But, they can also make that consumer continue to pass by your store if done incorrectly.
